Welcome to river pet resort!
We offer luxury boarding accommodations, canine day camp, fun swims, fitness programs, grooming, basic veterinary care, physical rehabilitation and acupuncture for pets. We provide healthy meals for breakfast and dinner or you may bring your pet's regular diet. Our water is filtered so each pet has fresh water available at all times during their stay. We have comfortable beds but you may bring your pet's own bed if they prefer it. We also welcome exotic guests such as bunnies or birds. Exotic guests may need to bring their own enclosures. Basic medical care, baths and pampering extras, such as special treats and massages are available for our guests. River pet will make every effort to make our guest's stay a stress-free experience that nourishes their emotional and physical well being. Nursing care is also available for rehab patients requiring extensive care during their rehabilitation period.

- Cat condos allow multi level movement

Health requirements:
Canine: Vaccinations up to date - DAPP, Rabies, Bordetella, Canine Influenza and a negative fecal within one year.
Feline: Vaccinations up to date- FVRCP, Rabies, Felv FIV tested and a negative fecal within one year.

Veterinary Services
Veterinary services are available including physical exams, vaccinations, blood tests and health certificates for international travel. We carry heartworm, flea and tick preventatives. Wellness visits, skin or ear issues are some of the many things we can address. For your convenience medical services can be performed during your pet's visit to river pet resort. Some diagnostic tests can be coordinated with Animal General when needed.

Canine Day Camp
Canine Day Camp at river pet resort offers dogs and opportunity for socialization and exercise in a safe environment. Our day camp groups are small, which allows river pet's staff to pay close attention to each pooch. Our day camp guests can enjoy pool time if they choose to participate, or hav quiet time if they choose to just relax. Canine day camp helps keep your dog physically and emotionally healthy. It is the ideal setting for your dog to socialize and unwind instead of staying at home alone while you are busy during the day. Remember, you can check your pet from work or your vacation by viewing them via our web cam. Day camp is offered at a reduced rate for boarding guests.

Physical Rehabilitation and Acupuncture
Physical rehabilitation can help pets that are recovering from an injury or surgery, or those with chronic problems such as arthritis, hip dysplasia, nerve injury or chronic pain. We will discuss your pet's problems in detail and form a personalized plan to improve your pet's condition.
Acupuncture can be used to address specific conditions, such as urinary incontinence or nerve injury, or to treat pain due to a variety of conditions, such as from arthritis or cancer.

Grooming
Samantha Crouchelli is an expert groomer who has years of experience working with animals. She received her dog grooming training at North Jersey School of Dog Grooming. Samantha has joined her love for animals and her creative hair styling skills to become a professional groomer at river pet resort. Our grooming service is convenient and flexible as you can schedule a specific appointment time or have your pet groomed while they are at river pet for boarding or camp.
River pet resort strives to provide your pet with a gentle and safe grooming experience. We can also work with handicapped or anxious pets and our veterinarian can be consulted if needed. Please inform us is your pet has any medical conditions

Fitness Programs

Obesity is a major problem in pets today. Over-weight pets suffer from trouble walking and breathing difficulties. Our staff will meet with you to discuss your pet's diet and to formulate and exercise plan. Your pet can enjoy exercise sessions including swimming and treadmill walking. If you are proactive in your pet's training, it is possible to structure a home-based exercise plan. Weight checks will be scheduled, free of charge, because of our commitment to improving the lives of pets.

Fun swims and snacks
Fun swims are 30 minute swim sessions in our heated pool. You can bring your pet to our resort for a swim session any day of the week, just call ahead to see if an appointment is available. Invite canine friends to join your dog; schedule as much time as you want and plan some fun for your pooch.
You and your pet's safety are our main concern during pool sessions. Please respect our rules; pet owners are not allowed in our pool area. A staff member will accompany your dog to our pool and monitor the swim session. All dogs must wear life jackets, unless approved by our staff.
Swimming is a valuable low impact exercise and a great way to keep your dog in shape, especially in the winter months.
