Luxury Boarding Accommodations
We have designed river pet resort's boarding suites to be modern, comfortable and safe, while paying close attention to details that matter most to our guests so their stay is stress-free and enjoyable.
Fun music and natural lighting during the day provide and environment for active play and socializing.
Soothing music and mellow lighting in the evening will allow your pet to have restful sleep on their comfortable bed. Daily housekeeping for each pet and an extensive air purification system provides an ultra-clean environment.
Familiar bedding and toys may accompany your pet to bring a personal sense of home to their suite during their stay at river pet. One on one attention is provided daily by caring staff members.
*Web cams allow you to check on your pet from wherever you are!

Canine Guests: Our suites are spacious and designed to ensure comfort. We can accommodate dogs of all sizes as our deluxe suites are 6'x8' and our loft suites are 6'x4'. Our non-slip rubber flooring was chosen with ease of movement in mind for old and young guests. Dogs are walked several times per day to help maintain their normal schedule. Day camp, Fitness Sessions and Fun Swims can be scheduled to enhance your pet's vacation at river pet.

Feline Guests: Our cat condos allow multi-level movement and a view of our aquarium. During the day natural light fills our feline accommodations, adding to your cat's enjoyment at river pet. All of our feline guests have individual time to explore our cat room. Our staff will play with each feline guest each day. Exercise will be encouraged as part of your cat's play time, but your cat will be free to relax as they please, by lounging by the window, watching TV or snuggling in a box.

All Guests: We provide healthy meals for breakfast and dinner or you may bring your pet's regular diet. Our water is filtered so each pet has pure fresh water available at all times during their stay Each pet will have a comfortable bed. We also welcome exotic guests such as bunnies or birds.
Basic medical care, baths and pampering extras, such as special treats and massages are also available for our guests (see descriptions below). River pet will make every effort to make our guest's stay a stress-free experience that nourishes their emotional and physical well-being.
Nursing care is also available for rehab patients requiring extensive care during their rehabilitation period.

Day Camp

Canine Day Camp at river pet resort offers dogs and opportunity for socialization and exercise in a safe environment.  Our day camp groups are small, which allows river pet's staff to pay close attention to each pooch.  We are quite different from other "doggy day cares".  Our program is designed to make each dog's experience at river pet interesting as they enjoy different planned activities throughout the day.  Our day camp guests are divided into play groups based on their size and personality.  Each group rotates so they can experience everything from group play, individual games, pool time (if they choose to participate- otherwise they can just watch others in the water) and quiet time (where staff members will pet and brush your dog while they relax and watch TV or listen to music).

Canine day camp helps keep your dog physically and emotionally healthy.  It is the ideal setting for your dog to socialize and unwind instead of staying at home alone while you are busy during the day.  Remember, you can check your pet from work or your vacation by viewing them via our web cam.  Day camp is offered at a reduced rate for boarding guests.

Physical Rehabilitation and Acupuncture

Physical rehabilitation can help pets that are recovering from an injury or surgery, or those with chronic problems such as arthritis, hip dysplasia, nerve injury or chronic pain.  We will discuss your pet's problems in detail and form a personalized plan to improve your pet's condition.

Therapy plans usually involve in-hospital treatments as well as home-care plans.  Physical rehabilitation is designed to enhance your primary veterinarian's care and not to replace it.  We will work closely with referring veterinarians to coordinate your pet's care.  Please ask your veterinarian to call us with a referral.  You may also call us directly and we will initiate the referral process with your veterinarian.

After an initial consultation. appointments can be scheduled or "drop-offs" for treatments can be arranged.  Our office hours are flexible and in most cases can be altered to meet the needs of you and your pet's busy schedule.

River pet can accommodate disabled pets that require medication and monitoring.  Boarding of pets for physical rehabilitation is available in our comfortable suites.  Our staff includes veterinary technicians who can provide extensive nursing care in coordination with your veterinarian's recommendations and with our doctor's supervision.

Physical Rehabilitation programs include:

Goals of Physical Rehabilitation are to decrease pain, improve strength, decrease muscle spasm and improve daily living.

• weight management
• chronic pain

Fitness Programs

Help pets have fun and stay in shape.

Obesity is a major problem in pets today.  Over-weight pets suffer from trouble walking and breathing difficulties.  Our staff will meet with you to discuss your pet's diet and to formulate and exercise plan.  Your pet can enjoy exercise sessions including swimming and treadmill walking.  If you are proactive in your pet's training, it is possible to structure a home-based exercise plan.  Weight checks will be scheduled, free of charge, because of our commitment to improving the lives of pets.

Fun Swims and Pampering

Fun swims are 30 minute swim sessions in our heated pool.  You can bring your pet to our resort for a swim session any day of the week, just call ahead to see if an appointment is available.  Invite canine friends to join your dog; schedule as much time as you want and plan some fun for your pooch.

You and your pet's safety are our main concern during pool sessions. Please respect our rules; pet owners are not allowed in our pool and children under six years of age are not allowed in the pool area.  A staff member will accompany you and your dog to our pool room. All dogs must wear life jackets, unless approved by our staff.

Swimming is a valuable low impact exercise and a great way to keep your dog in shape, especially in the winter months.  You may dry your dog after a swim session in our pet wash area.

Basic Medical Care

We can administer oral or topical medications, injections and fluids.  Additional services can be scheduled through Animal General while your pet is staying at river pet.

Pampering Choices

Baths: cleansing, aomatherapy or medicated shampoos, and bubble baths are available

Massage: a gentle muscle relaxing massage is a nice extra for any pet, but older pets especially appreciate it.

Mini Spa Package: pedicure, clean ears, brush out.

Deluxe Dental Care: tooth brushing, mouth rinse and dental chew.

Full Day Spa: includes mini spa, bath and a massage.

Pedicure, ear cleaning, brushing hair, anal gland expression and tooth brushing are available individually.
